Study on methanol premixed coupled with EGR to achieve ultra-low emissions in diesel engine

چکیده

In this paper, an experimental investigation on achieving ultra-low emissions in diesel engine was carried out using intake premixed methanol and EGR technology. The influence of introduction method combustion performances were studied comprehensively. results show that NOx (<0.4g/kWh) PM (<10mg/kWh) can be achieved simultaneously dual fuel (DMDF) highly low-temperature mode. Compared with low-pressure (LP-EGR), the excess air coefficients under high-pressure (HP-EGR) drops more significantly. At same rate, in-cylinder mean temperature equivalent mixture are higher HP-EGR conditions, which efficiency, lower CO THC emissions. maximum brake thermal efficiency is 9.6% than EGR.

Performance and Emissions of a Tractor engine operating on biodiesel-diesel blends with EGR

The influences of different diesel/biodiesel blends and EGR rate on brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), exhaust gas temperature, NO, HC, CO emissions, are studied and demonstrated. In this paper a four stroke direct injection, water cooled, diesel engine was used. Biodiesel either in neat form or as a blend with diesel fuel is extensively investigated to solve the twin problem of reduction ...

Performance Evaluation and Emissions improving of Turbocharged DI Diesel Engine with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)

Nitrogen oxides (NOx) contribute to a wide range of environmental effects including the formation of acid rain and destroy ozone layer. In-cylinder high temperature flame and high oxygen concentration are the parameters which affect the NOx emissions. The EGR system is a very effective way for reducing NOx emission from a diesel engine (via reduction of these parameters), particularly at the...

Evaluate the effect of biodiesel and EGR system on diesel engine emissions

Vehicle Emission is one of the main causes of environmental damage. Vehicle engines produce carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrocarbon (HC), Nitrogen oxides (NOx) and many other harmful substances. An investigation was conducted using a compression-ignition engine fuelled with different ratios of blends of diesel and biodiesel at different EGR rates. The effects of different ratios of fuel blends and EG...

Experimental Studying the Effect of EGR Distribution on the Combustion, Emissions and Perforemance in a Turbocharged DI Diesel Engine

This paper presents the results of experimental work carried out to evaluate the distribution of cold and hot exhaust gas recirculation between cylinders in a DI diesel engine. The experiments have been conducted on a 3.99 liters turbocharged DI diesel engine under full load condition at 1900rpm in order to distinguish and quantify some effects of hot and cooled EGR with various rates on the EG...
